Our Made-to-Order Approach

Field Cottage Designs is an independent, artist-led clothing and design studio based in West Sussex, England.

Every garment is individually configured and produced to order. We do not hold stocks of finished, pre-printed garments.

This approach allows us to offer customers a wider selection of garment styles, fits, colours and sizes than would be practical if we held conventional retail stock.

Depending on the collection, customers select their preferred garment, style or fit, garment colour, artwork and artwork colour, together with any additional personalisation available for their chosen product.

Where artwork approval is required, we prepare an individual digital mock-up for the customer to review and approve before production begins.

Because every garment is prepared individually, our delivery times include the production process as well as physical delivery.

Artwork Approval & Delivery Times

Where a product requires artwork approval, we prepare a digital mock-up of the customer's selected garment and design and send it for review.

Customers are invited to check their artwork carefully and request any necessary amendments before providing final approval.

For products requiring artwork approval, we estimate delivery within 7–10 working days from the date of final artwork sign-off.

This period includes:

• Production of the approved garment.

• Finishing and quality control checks.

• Careful folding and packaging.

• Dispatch and delivery through our chosen postal or courier service.

The time required for initial artwork preparation, customer review and any subsequent amendments is additional to the estimated 7–10 working day delivery period.

For products that do not require individual artwork sign-off, the applicable delivery estimate will be communicated during the ordering process.

Delivery estimates are not guaranteed dates. Your statutory rights concerning delayed or undelivered goods remain unaffected.

Orders Required for a Specific Date

If you require your garment for a particular date, such as a birthday, anniversary, special occasion, event or gift, please let us know in writing when placing your order.

You can provide your requested delivery date through the relevant option on the product page, where available, or contact our studio before placing your order.

As our garments are individually produced, please allow sufficient time for artwork preparation, approval, production, finishing, quality checks, packaging and delivery.

We will review requests for specific delivery dates and advise whether we can reasonably accommodate them.

A requested delivery date is not automatically confirmed or guaranteed. We will confirm in writing if we are able to commit to your requested date.

If your required date is particularly close, we recommend contacting our studio before placing an order.

Where a delivery date has been expressly agreed as essential to your order, your statutory rights concerning delivery by that date remain unaffected.

UK Shipping

We dispatch orders from our West Sussex studio using an appropriate UK postal or courier service.

Available shipping options and their associated charges are displayed at checkout before payment is completed.

Shipping charges depend on the delivery option and destination applicable to your order.

The delivery timeframe for individually approved artwork includes both studio production and transport to the customer.

Order Confirmation & Dispatch

Once your order has been placed, you will receive an order confirmation by email.

Where artwork approval is required, we will contact you with your digital mock-up before commencing production.

Following approval, your garment enters our production process.

Once your order has been dispatched, we will send you a dispatch confirmation by email.

Where tracking is available, the tracking details will be provided.

Delivery Delays

We make every effort to prepare, dispatch and deliver orders within the estimated timeframe.

Occasionally, delays may arise because of garment availability, production requirements, courier disruptions or circumstances outside our reasonable control.

If we become aware of a delay affecting your order, we will contact you as soon as reasonably possible and advise you of the revised delivery arrangements.

Unless a different delivery period has been agreed, goods will be delivered without undue delay and within 30 days of the contract being made, in accordance with applicable UK consumer law.

Any agreed delivery period and your statutory rights regarding delayed delivery remain unaffected.

Delivery Addresses

Please ensure that the delivery address provided at checkout is complete and accurate.

If you notice an error, please contact our studio as soon as possible.

We will endeavour to amend the delivery details before dispatch, although changes may not be possible once an order has entered the delivery network.

Packaging & Presentation

Every Field Cottage Designs garment undergoes a final quality check before dispatch.

Orders are carefully folded and packaged to protect the garment during delivery and provide a considered presentation when received.

Our packaging reflects the care taken in producing each garment individually.

International Shipping

Available delivery destinations are displayed during checkout.

If your country or region is not listed, please contact our studio before placing an order to enquire about possible delivery arrangements.

Where international shipping is available, delivery estimates and applicable charges will be communicated before purchase.

Any customs duties, import taxes or additional charges will be disclosed as required by applicable law.

Missing or Damaged Deliveries

If your parcel has not arrived within the expected timeframe, or arrives damaged, please contact our studio promptly.

We will investigate the issue and, where appropriate, liaise with the delivery provider.

Where goods are lost, damaged or otherwise fail to arrive as required under the contract, we will provide the appropriate remedy in accordance with applicable consumer law.
